Born in rural Alberta, Canada, Em's family frequently relocated, allowing them to experience life in Edmonton, Calgary, and even a year in Ireland, deepening their connection to their Irish heritage. Em graduated from a distinguished theatre program in Alberta, showcasing remarkable talent not only in acting but also as a fiddle player across Canada.
In 2015, Em relocated to Toronto to pursue opportunities in film, marking a significant turning point in their career. Their inaugural film role in Matt Shakman's "Cut Bank" was a pivotal moment that ignited their passion for screen acting. Em's career, which began in their late teens, has since flourished, highlighted by notable performances in diverse genres, including comedy in "Kim's Convenience" (2016), historical drama in "Murdoch Mysteries" (2008), and the superhero series "Jupiter's Legacy" (2021).
Em has honed their craft at Armstrong Acting Studios, cultivating a unique ability to convey honesty and vulnerability.
