Petronella Barker

Petronella Barker, born on October 29, 1965, is a talented actress of British origin who has made a significant mark in Norway's entertainment scene. Originally from Colchester, England, she spent her formative years in Fredrikstad, Norway. Barker honed her craft at the Theatre Academy in Oslo from 1985 to 1988, where she made her acting debut in the 1985 film "Dragens fange" (Trees Grow on the Stones Too), a collaborative project between Norway and Russia.

Her career took a significant leap with the release of the dystopian film "Sweetwater" in 1988, which established her as a prominent figure in the Norwegian film industry. This was followed by her role in "Havet stiger" (The Ocean Rises) in 1990. That same year, she ventured onto the stage, portraying Perdita in Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale" at Centralteatret, marking her stage debut.

Since then, Barker has performed in numerous theatrical productions at esteemed venues such as Oslo Nye Teater and The National Theatre. In addition to her stage work, she has appeared in various television and film roles, most notably in the acclaimed movie "Thranes metode" (Thrane's Method) released in 1998 and the popular TV series "Fox Grønland" in 2001.
