Abby Harri is an acclaimed casting director, director, non-actor acting coach, and casting scout, recognized for her exceptional work in the film industry. Recently honored as one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film by Filmmaker Magazine, she has made a significant impact through her expertise in non-traditional casting and talent discovery. Harri has played a pivotal role in several notable films, including Jane Schoenbrun's We’re All Going to the World’s Fair, which premiered at Sundance in 2021, and Savanah Leaf's Earth Mama, featuring newcomer Tia Nomore, which debuted at Sundance in 2023 under the A24 banner. Her impressive portfolio also includes Riley Keough and Gina Gammell's War Pony, which was awarded the Cannes Camera d'Or in 2022, and the Safdie Brothers’ acclaimed film Uncut Gems. Furthermore, she contributed to Seasons 1 and 2 of HBO’s hit series Euphoria and is set to cast for Jane Schoenbrun's upcoming feature, I Saw the TV Glow, scheduled for Sundance in 2024. Additionally, she collaborated with Pulitzer-Prize-winning playwright Annie Baker on her film debut, Janet Planet, produced by Academy Award-winner Dan Janvey in association with BBC Films and A24.
