Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, Richard's musical journey began at the tender age of 13 in rural Georgia, where he performed alongside rockabilly legends like Jerry Lee Lewis. After completing his BFA in Theatre at the University of Georgia, he moved to Atlanta, co-founding a "black consciousness raising theater" group with Samuel L.
