Herman Dulong, widely recognized as Bambang Hermanto or Herman Citrokusumo, was a prominent Indonesian actor born on August 11, 1931, in Surakarta. He passed away on December 18, 1991. Bambang's early education included attending HIS (Hollandsch-Inlandsche School) and later pursuing an Acting Course at ATNI from 1955 to 1956. Prior to embarking on his acting career, he served in the military, having been a part of the Heiho, the Indonesian Republic Rebels, and serving in the Military Police.

In the 1950s, Bambang emerged as a leading figure in the Indonesian film industry, gaining recognition for his talent and charisma. His breakthrough role came in the film "Harimau Tjampa" (1953), which solidified his status as a household name. Due to a striking resemblance to Hollywood actor John Derek, he earned the nickname the 'Indonesian John Derek.' Bambang's impressive performances earned him critical acclaim, culminating in a Best Supporting Actor award at the Indonesian Film Festival (FFI) in 1955 for his role in "Lewat Djam Malam" (1954). Through his contributions to cinema, Bambang Hermanto left an indelible mark on the Indonesian film landscape, remembered for both his artistry and his dedication to his craft.
