Shane McConkey
Shane McConkey (December 30, 1969 – March 26, 2009) was a renowned professional skier and BASE jumper, celebrated for his groundbreaking contributions to extreme sports. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Shane's upbringing was marked by constant movement, leading him to adopt Boulder, Colorado as his home base. It was in Boulder that he embarked on his skiing career and attended the University of Colorado Boulder, although he left before completing his degree to pursue his passion for skiing full-time.
McConkey made a significant impact on the skiing community with his innovative techniques and his adventurous spirit.
