Ott Aardam
Ott Aardam, born on July 1, 1980, is a prominent Estonian actor known for his work across stage, television, and film. Hailing from Orissaare on Saaremaa Island, he completed his primary education at Orissaare Gymnasium in 1995 and graduated from Saaremaa Gymnasium in 1998. He subsequently relocated to Tallinn to study at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre Drama School, where he was mentored by the renowned actor and teacher Elmo Nüganen, graduating in 2002 alongside notable peers such as Priit Võigemast and Karin Rask.
Aardam launched his professional career at Ugala Theatre in Viljandi, where he performed from 2002 until 2008 before taking on the role of creative director in 2014. His film debut came shortly after graduation in Nimed marmortahvlil (2002), directed by Nüganen, which depicted the Estonian War of Independence. He then appeared in the Estonian-Finnish comedy Kinnunen (2007), followed by roles in Margus Paju's adventure film Supilinna Salaselts (2015) and Triin Ruumet's black comedy Päevad, mis ajasid segadusse (2016). Aardam's filmography also includes significant appearances in Keti lõpp (2017) and Tõde ja Õigus (2019), the latter based on the acclaimed novel.
Since 2003, he has been recognized for his ongoing role as Jaanus in the beloved ETV series Õnne 13, along with guest spots in Kättemaksukontor and Viimane võmm. Aardam's contributions to Estonian theatre and film have solidified his status as a key figure in the nation's cultural landscape.
