Steve Kerr
Stephen Douglas Kerr is a distinguished American former professional basketball player and current head coach of the Golden State Warriors. Throughout his illustrious career, Kerr achieved remarkable success, winning a total of five NBA championships as a player—three with the Chicago Bulls and two with the San Antonio Spurs—and adding three more as the Warriors' head coach.
Kerr's journey began in the Middle East before he moved to Los Angeles, where he attended Palisades Charter High School and played for the Dolphins. His collegiate career unfolded at the University of Arizona, where he showcased his skills with the Wildcats. In 1988, he embarked on his professional career with the Phoenix Suns, later being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. After three seasons in Cleveland and a brief stint with the Orlando Magic, Kerr joined the Chicago Bulls, contributing significantly to their second championship win. In 1999, he was traded to the Spurs, where he helped secure another championship, making him one of only two players to win four consecutive NBA titles.
Kerr retired in 2003 after a final season with the Spurs, transitioning into a career as a television analyst and serving as the general manager for the Suns from 2007 to 2010. In 2014, he took the helm as the head coach of the Warriors, further enhancing his legacy in the sport.
