Lexie Bean

Lexie Bean (they/he) is a transmasculine artist and advocate dedicated to supporting fellow trans individuals who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assault. Their journey in activism began at a rape crisis hotline in rural Ohio, where they provided vital assistance to survivors. Lexie is the author of *Written on the Body*, an impactful anthology that features letters from survivors directed at their chosen body parts. They also wrote *The Ship We Built*, recognized as the first middle-grade novel featuring a trans boy, authored by a trans writer, published by a major U.S. publisher.

In addition to their literary contributions, Lexie has shared their insights through interviews and articles for notable platforms such as Teen Vogue, Them, Kirkus Reviews, and Autostraddle. They actively contribute to the leadership council of RAINN, the largest anti-sexual violence organization in the United States. Lexie is deeply committed to producing authentic and nuanced narratives about transgender experiences across various media, including writing, performance, and film. Their upcoming feature-length documentary, *What Will I Become?*, is scheduled for release in 2026, further showcasing their dedication to amplifying trans voices and stories.
