Tara Slone
Tara Slone is a multifaceted talent whose impressive career spans music, acting, television hosting, and sports broadcasting. She first made her mark as the dynamic lead singer of the Juno-nominated rock band Joydrop, further showcasing her vocal prowess as a finalist on the CBS reality competition Rockstar: INXS. Tara's early career also included numerous appearances in films, television series, and theatrical productions, highlighting her versatility as an entertainer.
In 2010, she took on the role of host for Breakfast Television Calgary, where she spent five impactful years. This position allowed her to delve into the sports realm, contributing regularly to Sportsnet, Canada’s leading sports network. During her time there, she covered a variety of sports, including WHL and USports hockey, curling, soccer, and bobsleigh.
Tara made history by co-hosting Rogers Hometown Hockey with Ron MacLean for eight years, becoming the first woman to lead a national NHL broadcast.
