Martin Kratt

Martin William Kratt, born on December 23, 1965, is a prominent American zoologist and a celebrated host of educational nature programs. Hailing from Warren Township, New Jersey, he comes from a family with a musical background, being the grandson of instrument manufacturer William Jacob Kratt, Sr. Alongside his younger brother Chris, Martin has made significant contributions to children's television by co-creating several beloved series including *Kratts' Creatures*, *Zoboomafoo*, and *Be the Creature*, the latter of which aired on the National Geographic Channel and Knowledge Network.

Martin and Chris also star as animated versions of themselves in the hit PBS Kids series *Wild Kratts*, which has become a staple in educational programming, fostering a love for wildlife and nature among young viewers. In addition to these successes, Martin created *Wild Alaska Live*, showcasing the stunning wildlife of Alaska. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Duke University, which has informed his work in blending education with entertainment. Furthermore, both brothers made guest appearances as themselves in the *Odd Squad* episode titled "Night Shift."
