Riya Sen
Riya Sen, born Riya Dev Varma on January 24, 1981, is a prominent Indian actress and model, hailing from a distinguished lineage of artists. Her grandmother, Suchitra Sen, mother Moon Moon Sen, and sister Raima Sen have all made their mark in the film industry. Riya made her debut as a child artist in 1991 with the film *Vishkanya*. She gained significant recognition in 2001 with the comedy *Style*, directed by N. Chandra, which marked her first major commercial success.
Her filmography includes a range of notable projects such as Pritish Nandy’s musical *Jhankaar Beats* (2003), the ensemble comedy *Shaadi No. 1* (2005), and the Malayalam horror film *Ananthabhadram* (2005).
Riya first caught the public eye as a model when she starred in Falguni Pathak's music video *Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi* at the age of sixteen in 1998. Since then, she has graced numerous music videos, fashion shows, television commercials, and magazine covers. Beyond her work in entertainment, Riya is also an activist; she participated in an AIDS awareness music video to combat misconceptions about the disease and has been involved in fundraising for pediatric eye care.
