Lalita Panyopas, affectionately known by her nickname "Mew," is a celebrated Thai actress renowned for her compelling performances in both film and television. With a career that took off in the late 1980s, Lalita has made a significant impact on the Thai entertainment industry, particularly through her work in soap operas, or lakorns. Her dynamic presence has graced numerous productions from the late 1980s to the early 2000s, establishing her as a household name.

One of her most notable cinematic achievements came in 1999 when she portrayed Tum, the unfortunate protagonist, in the acclaimed film 6ixtynin9, directed by Pen-Ek Ratanaruang. This role showcased her remarkable ability to convey deep emotion and earned her critical recognition. In 2007, Lalita reunited with Ratanaruang to star in Ploy, a film that gained international attention by being featured in the Director's Fortnight section at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
