Dianne Doan
Dianne Doan is a talented Canadian actress of Vietnamese heritage, born on September 8, 1990, in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Her passion for performance ignited during her ninth grade when she enrolled in drama classes. Prior to her acting career, she honed her skills in dance, beginning formal training at the age of 10.
Doan's dance background is impressive; she showcased her talents as a performer during the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics and served as a backup dancer for renowned artist Michael Bublé. Additionally, she has appeared in music videos for popular bands such as Big Time Rush and Marianas Trench.
Her breakout role came when she starred as Lonnie, the daughter of Mulan and Li Shang, in Disney Channel's original movie Descendants. She reprised this beloved character in the sequel, Descendants 2. Doan has also made a mark on television with recurring roles in the acclaimed series Vikings and the digital series Guidance.
In 2017, she became part of the cast of Warrior, a Cinemax series inspired by an original concept from the legendary Bruce Lee, where she portrays Mai Ling. Currently, Doan is working on The Boys Presents: Varsity, a spin-off of Amazon Prime Video's hit series The Boys, where she will take on the role of Nyla, a formidable superhero.
