Connor Stallions

Connor Patrick Stallions, born on July 27, 1995, in Houston, Texas, became a prominent figure in college football, particularly during Michigan's contentious 2023 championship season. Raised in Lake Orion, Michigan, in a family of Michigan alumni, he excelled in athletics, playing football and basketball at Lake Orion High School, where he celebrated a state football championship in 2010.

Stallions graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2017, where he served as a student coach for the Navy Midshipmen under Ken Niumatalolo. Following his commissioning as a Marine Corps Logistics Officer, he achieved the rank of Captain while stationed at Camp Pendleton, California, before being honorably discharged in 2022. He began his coaching career at Michigan as a volunteer assistant (2018-2021) and later became a defensive analyst (May 2022-October 2023). During this time, he helped the program secure three consecutive Big Ten Championships and played a role in their run to the 2023 National Championship.

However, Stallions' career took a dramatic turn when an NCAA investigation uncovered his involvement in a sophisticated scouting scheme that violated NCAA regulations. He allegedly spent over $35,000 on tickets to 52 games across 11 Big Ten schools to gather intelligence, leading to his resignation on November 3, 2023. The NCAA's findings resulted in significant penalties for Michigan, including over $30 million in fines.

After his departure, Stallions transitioned to high school coaching, first as a defensive coordinator at Detroit Mumford and later as offensive coordinator at Belleville High School, where his team made notable playoff strides.
