Stephen Mulhern

Stephen Daniel Mulhern is a celebrated English television presenter, entertainer, magician, and showbiz figure, renowned for his vibrant personality and engaging performances. His passion for comedy and magic ignited at the tender age of 11, inspired by his father, who would share a new trick with him each night. Summers spent at Butlin's Minehead in Somerset provided Mulhern with his first taste of public performance, and he soon became the youngest member of The Magic Circle, gaining recognition through an appearance on Blue Peter, where he was featured in a segment about the legendary Harry Houdini.

Despite facing a brief suspension from The Magic Circle for disclosing a magic trick during his appearance on the children's show Finger Tips, he later had his suspension lifted. After completing his education, Mulhern launched his own magic show, aptly named Stephen's Mega Mad Magic Show. His early career included stints as a Butlins Redcoat and seasonal roles at prestigious stores like Hamleys and Harrods, where he even met Princess Diana.

Though he faced rejection from Michael Barrymore for My Kind of People at 18, his fortunes changed when he won The Big Big Talent Show, hosted by Jonathan Ross. This victory led to a significant milestone in 1997, when he performed at the Royal Variety Performance before HM Queen Elizabeth II at the Victoria Palace Theatre, solidifying his status in the entertainment industry.
