Robert John Downey Jr. (born April 4, 1965), widely recognized as RDJ, is an acclaimed American actor whose career has made him one of the highest-grossing actors in cinematic history, with his films collectively grossing over $14 billion worldwide. The son of filmmaker Robert Downey Sr., he has received numerous prestigious awards, including an Academy Award, Emmy Award, three Golden Globe Awards, two BAFTA Awards, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, Time magazine included him in its list of the 100 most influential people, and from 2013 to 2015, Forbes recognized him as Hollywood's highest-paid actor.

Downey's acting journey began at the tender age of five when he appeared in his father's 1970 film Pound.
