Stig Ossian Ericson (September 7, 1923 – July 30, 2012) was a prominent Swedish actor, director, and screenwriter whose contributions to the performing arts have left a lasting legacy. Born in Härnösand and raised in Nyköping, he pursued his studies at the University of Uppsala, where he became actively involved in theater through the Södermanlands-Nerikes nation. Initially embarking on a career as a mathematics teacher, Ericson transitioned to the arts in the early 1960s, marking his theatrical debut in the Snudd revue at Stockholm's Casino Theatre.

Throughout his career, Ericson collaborated with notable figures such as Hans Alfredson, Tage Danielsson, Bo Widerberg, and Beppe Wolgers, enriching the Swedish entertainment landscape. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Sigurd in the hit film "Göta kanal eller Vem drog ur proppen?", and he charmed audiences as lillebror's father in Astrid Lindgren's beloved "Karlsson på taket."
