Catherine Bach, born Catherine Bachman on March 1, 1954, in Warren, Ohio, is a prominent American actress recognized for her captivating presence and deep, sultry voice. Standing at 5' 8" (1.73 m) with natural brunette hair and a curvaceous figure, she has made a lasting impression in the entertainment industry. The daughter of Norma Jean Kucera, an acupuncturist of Mexican descent, and Bernard Bachman, a rancher with German roots, Catherine hails from the distinguished Verdugo family, one of California's earliest landed clans.

Raised on a ranch in South Dakota, she spent her early years visiting her grandparents in Faith. In 1970, she graduated from Stevens High School in Rapid City and briefly pursued drama at UCLA, where she supported herself by sewing costumes for friends and local theater groups.

Catherine's personal life includes two marriages. Her first husband was David Shaw, Angela Lansbury's stepson; they married on May 15, 1976, and divorced on August 5, 1981. She later married Peter Lopez on August 8, 1990, with whom she had two daughters, Sophia Isabella (born January 1996) and Laura Esmeralda (born October 1998), until his passing on April 30, 2010.

Bach is best known for her iconic role as Daisy Duke in the hit TV series The Dukes of Hazzard (1979) and has appeared in films such as Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974) and You Again (2010). In 2012, she joined the cast of the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless as Anita Lawson.
