Lou D'Amato

Lou D'Amato is a talented American actor, born to Frances and Louis D'Amato, alongside his older sister, Karen. With a rich heritage that includes Italian roots from his father's side and Irish, Scottish, and French ancestry from his mother, Lou's family history is deeply tied to Brooklyn, NY, where his great-grandfather established a bakery after immigrating from Italy.

Though primarily based in New York, Lou is considered a bi-coastal actor, maintaining a residence in Studio City, California, for film projects in Los Angeles. His journey into the acting world has been a gradual evolution, transitioning from local theater, commercials, and background roles while balancing a full-time job in finance. Encouraged by his wife, Debbie, Lou made a bold decision to dedicate himself entirely to acting. He invested significant time in refining his craft, training at esteemed institutions such as the Aaron Speiser Acting Studio in LA and HB Studios in NYC, where he was fortunate to learn from the late Jill Clayburgh.

Currently, Lou not only thrives as an actor but also collaborates with his longtime friend Guile Branco at BrightKnightEntertainment, a production company. His passion for acting has opened up a world of challenges, but he embraces each moment as a gift. A sports enthusiast, Lou played various sports in school and even took up hockey in his thirties, winning a championship in Toronto. Inspired by icons like Clint Eastwood, he seeks out scripts that offer originality in a landscape where such stories seem increasingly rare.
