Tertius Meintjes

Tertius Meintjes is a distinguished figure in the South African performing arts scene, known for his contributions to both stage and television. His career took off in the late 1970s when he took on the challenging role of “Alan Strang” in the Afrikaans adaptation of the acclaimed play Equus. Meintjes continued to leave his mark on the theater world with notable performances in productions such as Sing jy van Bomme, staged by PACT in 1988, and Paulus, showcased at the Klein Karoo Nationale Kunstefees (KKNK) in 2007.

Beyond acting, Meintjes has also made significant contributions as a playwright and screenwriter. He authored the stage play Dis Seker die Honde and crafted the screenplay for the television series The Pink Leather Chair, showcasing his versatility and creativity.
