Eugene Kotlyarenko is a prominent Ukrainian-American filmmaker known for his multifaceted roles as a director, screenwriter, producer, and actor. His film career has been marked by a series of distinctive works, including *0s & 1s* (2011), *A Wonderful Cloud* (2015), *Wobble Palace* (2018), *We Are* (2020), and *Spree* (2020).

Born in Odesa to a Jewish-Ukrainian family, Kotlyarenko was raised in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, and later on Long Island. He attended Columbia University before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue his cinematic ambitions.

Kotlyarenko made his directorial debut in 2010 with *SkyDiver (Instructional Video #4: Preparation for Mission)*, featuring talents like Kate Lyn Sheil and Lawrence Michael Levine. His first major project, *0s & 1s*, co-written, directed, and edited by him, followed in 2011, showcasing actors such as Morgan Krantz and Ahna O'Reilly. In 2012, he wrote, directed, and starred in *Feast of Burden*, which premiered at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.

His film *A Wonderful Cloud* debuted at the SXSW Film Festival in 2015, while *Wobble Palace* gained critical acclaim for its authentic portrayal of artist subcultures. In 2020, *Spree*, which he both directed and starred in, premiered at Sundance and was produced with the involvement of Drake. The same year, he released *We Are* and continues to expand his filmography with upcoming projects like *The Code*, premiering at the Fantasia International Film Festival in 2024.
