Alejandro Montoya Marin

Alejandro Montoya Marin hails from Laredo, Texas, but spent his formative years in Mexico. His career took a significant turn in 2018 when renowned filmmaker Robert Rodriguez chose him to participate in the documentary series REBEL WITHOUT A CREW. This opportunity propelled his debut film, MONDAY, which was showcased at the prestigious South by Southwest (SXSW) festival that same year. Following this initial success, he created his next film, MILLENNIUM BUGS, which was successfully crowdfunded and later distributed by Indican Pictures, further establishing his presence in the independent film scene.

In 2023, Alejandro expanded his repertoire by co-starring in FLAMIN' HOT, a project directed by Eva Longoria, marking a notable collaboration in his acting career. That same year, he achieved a significant milestone by becoming a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA), affirming his commitment to the craft of filmmaking.

Currently, Alejandro is immersed in the development of his fourth feature film, continuing to push boundaries and explore new artistic avenues. With a growing portfolio of work and a dedication to storytelling, he is poised to make a lasting impact in the film industry.
