Laura Dreyfuss

Laura Catherine Dreyfuss, born on August 22, 1988, is a talented American actress and singer celebrated for her captivating performances in both theater and television. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Zoe Murphy in the acclaimed Broadway musical *Dear Evan Hansen*. Prior to this, she showcased her talent as Madison McCarthy on the popular FOX musical series *Glee* and as McAfee Westbrook in the Netflix series *The Politician*.

Dreyfuss honed her craft by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre from the Boston Conservatory. Her professional journey began when she joined the ensemble of the Broadway revival of *Hair*. She later transitioned to the musical *Once*, where she served as a standby before stepping into the role of Girl as a replacement.

Her most notable achievement came with *Dear Evan Hansen*, where she not only originated the role of Zoe Murphy but also performed it in earlier productions at Arena Stage and Second Stage Theatre. Dreyfuss's tenure with the show concluded on July 15, 2018, after which she was announced as a series regular on *The Politician*, reuniting her with co-star Ben Platt.
