Sebastian Bach
Sebastian Philip Bierk, better known as Sebastian Bach, was born on April 3, 1968. This Canadian-American vocalist rose to fame as the dynamic frontman of the hard rock band Skid Row from 1987 until 1996. His powerful voice and charismatic stage presence helped propel the band to mainstream success, especially with their first two albums, *Skid Row* (1989) and *Slave to the Grind* (1991), both of which achieved multi-platinum status and the latter topping the Billboard 200. Skid Row’s third album, *Subhuman Race* (1995), also garnered critical acclaim.
Bach’s journey with Skid Row began after he was discovered singing at a wedding by the parents of Jon Bon Jovi, who recommended him to guitarist Dave Sabo. He joined the band shortly after auditioning in New Jersey. However, tensions over musical direction led to his departure in 1996, followed by a brief stint with the alternative rock supergroup The Last Hard Men.
In 1999, he launched his solo career with *Bring 'Em Bach Alive!*, and soon after, made his Broadway debut starring in *Jekyll & Hyde*. His theatrical talents extended to roles in *The Rocky Horror Show* and various television appearances, including a recurring role on *Gilmore Girls* and participation in reality shows like *Supergroup* and *The Masked Singer*. With a career spanning several decades, Bach continues to be a vibrant force in music and entertainment.
