Nesrine Khodr

Nesrine Khodr is a talented artist and television producer renowned for her innovative work across moving image, print, and performance. Her artistic exploration delves into themes such as the nuances of movement, the perception of time and space, gender dynamics, the allure of seduction, and the intellectual and emotional hurdles faced by today's youth.

Khodr has exhibited her work at prestigious venues, showcasing her unique perspective on contemporary issues. Notable exhibitions include the Sharjah Biennial 13 in 2017, the 6th Mercosul Biennial in Porto Alegre, Brazil, in 2015, and Image Forum in Tokyo in 2007. Other significant presentations of her work have taken place at IN FOCUS, Tate Modern in London (2007), the Fair Play Video Festival in Berlin (2006), Frankfurter Kunstverein in Frankfurt (2005), Videobrasil in São Paulo (2005), and Transmediale in Berlin (2004).

In addition to her exhibitions, Khodr participated in a prestigious artist residency at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam from 2003 to 2004. Her academic background includes a degree in history from the American University of Beirut and a specialization in European film from the University of Edinburgh. Born in Beirut in 1973, she continues to live and create in her hometown.
