Michelle Hurd
Michelle Hurd, born on December 21, 1966, is a talented American actress known for her dynamic performances across stage, film, and television. She is married to fellow actor Garret Dillahunt. The daughter of actor Hugh L. Hurd, Michelle completed her education at Saint Ann's School in 1984 and earned her degree from Boston University in 1988. Her training also included studies at the renowned Alvin Ailey School and the National Theatre in the United Kingdom.
Hurd's Broadway debut came in the 1996 Stephen Sondheim and George Furth production, *Getting Away with Murder*. Her extensive theater work includes notable productions such as *Othello*, *Hamlet*, and *The Hunchback of Notre Dame*, alongside her sister Adrienne Hurd. She has received numerous accolades, including the Robbie Award and the California Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her role in Richard Greenberg's *The Violet Hour*.
In film, Hurd appeared in *Random Hearts* and *Personals*, and portrayed the superhero B.B. DaCosta/Fire in the unreleased pilot for *Justice League of America* in 1997. Her television career features roles in *The Cosby Mysteries*, *New York Undercover*, and *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit*, where she played Detective Monique Jeffries during its inaugural season. Other notable appearances include *Charmed*, *The O.C.*, and a recurring role on *ER* as Courtney Brown.
In 2010, Hurd took on a leading role in the A&E drama *The Glades*, showcasing her versatility and dedication to her craft.
