Daniel Roberts
Daniel "Danny" Roberts, born in 1966, is a prominent Australian actor whose career spans several decades. His journey in the performing arts began at the young age of 12 with the Patch Theatre, and in 1979 he was part of the inaugural group at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Relocating to Melbourne in 1982, he quickly made his mark with appearances in television shows such as *Cop Shop* and *The Sullivans*.
Roberts gained significant recognition for his lead role as Andy Green in the popular soap opera *Sons and Daughters*, which he portrayed from 1983 until the show's conclusion in 1987. Following this success, he ventured to the United States, where he met and married his wife, and together they welcomed two children, Alania Neil-Roberts and David Jones-Roberts.
In 1989, Roberts secured a regular role in the soap *The Power, The Passion*, which aired for eight months. After its cancellation, he settled in Byron Bay, New South Wales, where he founded the Australian Theatre Company in 1991, serving as its Artistic Director until 1995. His acting credits are extensive and include memorable roles in series such as *Fire*, *Home and Away*, *Blue Heelers*, and *Underbelly: The Golden Mile*. His film work features titles like *Mission: Impossible 2* and *Beneath Clouds*. Currently, Roberts plays Gavin Cooper, Nate's father, on the long-running series *Home and Away*.
