Arun Bakshi
Arun Bakshi is a prominent Indian actor and singer, recognized for his impactful contributions to film and television. With a career spanning over four decades, he has appeared in more than 100 Hindi films, showcasing his versatility as a character actor. In addition to his acting prowess, Bakshi has lent his voice to an impressive 298 songs as a playback singer, further demonstrating his artistic range. He has also made significant contributions to Punjabi and Bhojpuri cinema.
Born and raised in Ludhiana, Punjab, Bakshi completed his education at Arya College, Ludhiana. Before pursuing his passion for acting, he briefly worked at Punjab Agricultural University. In 1981, he relocated to Mumbai to embark on his acting journey, initially making a mark on television before transitioning to films.
Arun Bakshi gained notable recognition for his role as Dhristadyumna in BR Chopra's iconic television series Mahabharat. His other significant works include roles in the series Guru, Kuch To Gadbad Hai, and the film Masoom. More recently, he portrayed Mahant Dashrath Tripathi in the Colors TV show Ishq Ka Rang Safed.
