Danny Goldring

Danny Goldring (May 31, 1946 – December 2, 2022) was a distinguished American actor celebrated for his contributions to theater, television, and film. Hailing from Woodstock, Illinois, Goldring grew up as the son of a U.S. Navy officer, which led to a childhood filled with travel. Following his education at a Maryland prep school and service in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during the Vietnam War, he turned his focus toward acting. Goldring honed his craft at the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago and became actively involved in various stage productions.

Goldring’s television career took off in 1976, where he was frequently cast in roles that showcased his robust voice and commanding demeanor. He portrayed figures of authority in a variety of series, including "NYPD Blue," "Angel Street," "Turks," and "Boss." His filmography includes notable performances in major films such as "The Dark Knight," "The Fugitive," and "Vice Versa," marking him as a versatile character actor.

In addition to his screen work, Goldring was a prominent figure in Chicago’s theater community, participating in productions including a David Mamet Festival.
