Arno Liiver
Arno Liiver (October 12, 1954 – January 1, 2026) was a distinguished Estonian actor celebrated for his contributions to film. Born in Estonia, he initially pursued a career in the technical field, training as an electrician at the 12th Vocational High School in Tallinn. Before fully dedicating himself to acting, Liiver worked various jobs, including as a car and taxi driver, as well as a locksmith, showcasing his diverse skill set.
Liiver's breakthrough came with his portrayal of Arno Tali in the acclaimed film "Spring," released in 1969 and directed by Arvo Kruusement. This role not only established him in the cinematic landscape but also marked the beginning of a successful acting career. He continued to captivate audiences with his performances in two sequels, "Summer" (1976) and "Autumn" (1990), demonstrating his versatility and depth as an actor.
In 2002, Liiver made a significant lifestyle change by relocating to the picturesque island of Hiiumaa, where he continued to engage with the arts and his community.
