Mariya Nagao

Mariya Nagao is a prominent Japanese tarento and a former member of the renowned idol group AKB48. She embarked on her journey with AKB48 as a 9th generation trainee in late 2009, quickly rising through the ranks. On December 8, 2010, she was promoted to full member status alongside fellow trainees Mina Oba, Haruka Shimazaki, Haruka Shimada, Miyu Takeuchi, Mariko Nakamura, Anna Mori, and Suzuran Yamauchi, although she remained unassigned to a team until the formation of Team 4 in 2011.

Mariya made notable strides in the AKB48 elections, placing 39th in the 2012 event (AKB48 27th Single Senbatsu Sōsenkyo) and later moving to Team K on November 1, 2012. She featured in the title track of AKB48's 31st single, "Sayonara Crawl," in 2013. Her popularity continued to grow as she secured the 35th position in the 2013 elections and the 65th in 2014, followed by a 69th place finish in the 2015 elections.

Mariya announced her graduation from AKB48 on December 7, 2015, with her final ceremony scheduled for March 19, 2016. Shortly before her departure, on March 10, she released her debut photobook, "Utsukushii Saibō," which garnered significant acclaim, achieving the top spot on the Oricon Photobook Chart with around 7,000 copies sold in its first week.
