Deana Horváthová, also known as Deana Jakubisková, was born on March 11, 1958, in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. She is a talented actress and film producer, renowned for her contributions to Slovak theater and cinema. Deana is married to prominent director Juraj Jakubisek.

Her artistic journey began at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, where she graduated in 1981. Following her studies, she joined the Slovak National Theater and had a remarkable twelve-season tenure. During this time, she portrayed over 20 leading roles and made notable appearances in ten television films and series, showcasing her versatile acting skills.

In the early 1990s, Deana relocated to Prague, where she graced the stage at the Bez zábradlí Theater. By 1994, she shifted her focus primarily to film production, playing a significant role in the Slovak film industry alongside her husband. The couple resides in Prague and has a son named Jorik.

However, her life took a tragic turn in October 2011 when she was involved in a fatal incident, hitting pedestrians at a crosswalk in Prague. As a result, she received a 30-month suspended prison sentence and was banned from driving for four years, with her appeal denied by the Prague City Court in May 2014. Despite this controversy, Deana remains a significant figure in the Slovak arts scene.
