Garry Roost, an accomplished actor trained at the E15 Acting School, boasts a rich portfolio in television, theatre, and film. His early career was rooted in theatre, performing at notable venues such as Theatre Royal Stratford East, Citizens Theatre Glasgow, Birmingham Rep, and West Yorkshire Playhouse. One of his standout performances was as 'Ralph' in the acclaimed West End production of *Bouncers* with Hull Truck.
Roost gained widespread recognition for his memorable roles, including the Creepy Guy in the cult classic *Black Books*, Alan Daniels on *EastEnders*, and Mickey Doolan, the Irish jockey in the iconic "At the Races" sketch alongside Steve Coogan—this sketch was later ranked the 35th best comedy sketch of all time by *The Day Today*.
In 2012, he debuted his first solo show at the Edinburgh Festival, directed by Gareth Armstrong, which laid the groundwork for his subsequent success with *Pope Head (The Secret Life of Francis Bacon)*, directed by Paul Garnault.
