Eddie Applegate (October 4, 1935 – October 17, 2016) was a distinguished American television actor recognized for his memorable performances during the 1960s. Born in Wyncote, Pennsylvania, Applegate made a significant mark in the entertainment industry, particularly for his portrayal of Richard Harrison, Patty Lane's boyfriend, on the beloved sitcom The Patty Duke Show, which aired from 1963 to 1966.

Beginning his acting journey in the early 1960s, Applegate showcased his talent through guest appearances on iconic series such as The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. His role on The Patty Duke Show solidified his reputation, allowing him to connect with audiences during its successful run.
