Charles Fricks
Charles Fricks de Andrade, born on June 16, 1972, in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Brazil, is a distinguished Brazilian actor of distant German ancestry. Fricks embarked on his acting journey with local amateur theater groups before spending a year in the United States. Upon his return to Brazil, he established himself in Rio de Janeiro, where he further honed his craft through various free theater courses.
In 1993, he became a part of Companhia Atores de Laura, led by Daniel Herz and Susanna Kruger, where he showcased his talent in over ten productions. His performance in "As Artimanhas de Scapino" earned him a nomination for the prestigious Shell Award, highlighting his growing prominence in the theater scene.
Fricks has also made significant contributions to television, appearing in three acclaimed micro-series directed by Luiz Fernando Carvalho: "Hoje é dia de Maria" (both first and second journeys) and "Capitu." In addition to his television work, he has starred in nine feature films, including notable titles such as "Nise," "Almost Memory," "Without Control," "Chico Xavier - the film," and "Elite Squad 2."
