Eduard Limonov

Eduard Limonov, born Eduard Veniaminovich Savenko on February 22, 1943, in the Soviet Union, was a prominent Russian writer, poet, publicist, and political dissident who left a significant mark on Russian literature and politics until his passing on March 17, 2020.

After emigrating from the USSR in 1974, Limonov gained notoriety as a provocative author, particularly with his debut novel, *It's Me, Eddie*, which featured explicit language and graphic content, attracting both admiration and criticism. His return to Russia in 1991 saw him actively engage in political life, culminating in the establishment of the National Bolshevik Party, known for its radical stance and ultimately banned in 2007.
