John Prendergast

John Prendergast, born on March 21, 1963, is a prominent American human rights activist and author, recognized for his significant contributions to global humanitarian efforts. He previously held the position of Director for African Affairs at the National Security Council, where he played a key role in shaping U.S. policy towards the continent. Prendergast is the Founding Director of the Enough Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating genocide and mass atrocities, which operates in collaboration with the Center for American Progress.
