Derek Ramsay

Derek Arthur Ramsay, born on December 7, 1976, is a versatile Filipino-British entertainer recognized for his work as a model, actor, television host, and former video jockey in the Philippines. Though he was born in the United Kingdom, he was raised in the Philippines, blending his British heritage with Filipino culture, thanks to his British father and Filipino mother.

Ramsay has made a significant mark in Philippine television and cinema, garnering acclaim for his performances in popular series such as *Ysabella*, *Habang May Buhay*, and *Magkaribal*. His film career boasts hits like *I Love You, Goodbye*, *The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin*, and *No Other Woman*, all of which contributed to his status as a leading man in the industry. In 2012, he made a career shift to TV5, debuting with *The Amazing Race Philippines*.

In addition to his entertainment career, Ramsay is also an avid athlete, having played for the Philippine national ultimate frisbee team, where he notably ranked as the ninth top scorer at the 2012 World Ultimate and Guts Championship. He serves as the head ambassador for the Philippine national beach football team and was poised to compete in the 2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Asian qualifiers, although he had to forgo this opportunity to focus on his role in the series *Kidlat*.
