Renauld's formal training began at the prestigious Cours Florent in 1984, where she was inspired by Pierre Romans to audition for the Nanterre Amandiers theatre school, directed by Patrice Chéreau. She excelled in the competitive selection process, joining a select group of twenty students. During her time there, she honed her craft alongside notable talents such as Agnès Jaoui and Vincent Pérez.

Renauld gained widespread acclaim in 1996 for her performance in "Parfait Amour!" by Catherine Breillat, earning the Prix Michel-Simon. In January 2010, she was honored as a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters. Although she resides in Paris, Renauld frequently returns to Saint-Malo to reconnect with her roots and find inspiration.
