Geoff MacCormak

1 title Acting Feb 01, 1947 Bromley, London, England, UK

Geoffrey Alexander MacCormack, widely recognized as Warren Peace, is an accomplished English singer, songwriter, and dancer celebrated for his contributions to David Bowie's music during the 1970s. A longtime friend of Bowie from their school days in Bromley, MacCormack began his musical journey as a backing vocalist, first lending his voice to the iconic album Aladdin Sane in 1973 and continuing through to Station to Station in 1976.

During the 1973 concert tour, he accompanied Bowie across the United States and Japan, famously returning to the UK via the Trans-Siberian Railway due to Bowie’s aversion to flying. MacCormack notably performed during the final UK shows of that tour, which culminated in the dramatic retirement of Ziggy Stardust at the Hammersmith Odeon, later immortalized in the film Ziggy Stardust – The Motion Picture.

As a creative collaborator, Peace co-wrote "Rock 'n' Roll With Me" featured on Bowie's 1974 album Diamond Dogs and contributed to Iggy Pop's Lust for Life with the track "Turn Blue." He made memorable appearances in Bowie's 1973 television special The 1980 Floor Show and participated in the 1974 US tour, which was captured in the live album David Live. Alongside fellow Astronettes, he recorded an album at Olympic Studios in 1973, which was posthumously released as People from Bad Homes in 1995.

In 2007, MacCormack, returning to his birth name, published *From Station to Station: Travels With Bowie 1973-76*, an illustrated memoir detailing his experiences as part of Bowie's creative circle.
