Joanna Noëlle Levesque, professionally recognized as JoJo, was born on December 20, 1990, and has made her mark as both an American singer and actress. Her journey in the entertainment world began in her childhood, where she showcased her vocal talent in various singing competitions and local talent shows. In 2003, she caught the attention of record producer Vincent Herbert during her appearance on "America's Most Talented Kids." This led to her signing with Blackground Records.

JoJo released her self-titled debut album in 2004, which soared to number four on the US Billboard 200 and achieved platinum certification from the RIAA, with global sales exceeding four million copies. Her breakout single, "Leave (Get Out)," made history by making her the youngest solo artist at just 13 to top the US Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart. Following this success, her follow-up single "Baby It's You" also gained gold certification.

Her second album, "The High Road," released in 2006, featured the hit "Too Little Too Late," which peaked at number three on the Hot 100. Despite facing label disputes that hindered her third studio album's release, she independently produced two mixtapes before signing with Atlantic Records in 2014. JoJo's third studio album, "Mad Love," launched in 2016, marked her return to the top ten in the US.

In addition to her musical accomplishments, JoJo ventured into acting, making her film debut in "Aquamarine" (2006) alongside Robin Williams and appearing in various TV series. By 2007, she had sold over seven million records worldwide, establishing herself as a versatile talent in the entertainment industry.
