5 titles Acting Framingham - Massachusetts - USA

Brian Mahoney's passion for acting ignited before he turned ten, but it took him two decades to embark on his journey to Hollywood for formal training. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts, he relocated multiple times with his family, finally settling in a charming small town in Western Michigan. After high school, financial constraints and the backdrop of the Iranian hostage crisis led him to join the U.S. Army, where he hoped to later pursue studies at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.

The Army had a different trajectory for him. After two years in infantry training, he was accepted into U.S. Army flight school at Fort Rucker, Alabama, where he thrived academically and discovered a natural talent for flying helicopters. Upon graduation, he trained as a Cobra pilot and was stationed at a remote base near Nuremberg, Germany. As the only American in the quaint town of Oberntief, Brian cherished his time there, balancing full-time studies at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with extensive skiing adventures across Europe.

In 1989, inspired by his experience and a viewing of Top Gun, he requested a transfer to be closer to Hollywood. Once stationed at Fort Ord, California, he immersed himself in the vibrant theater scene in Monterey, landing the role of Vince in Buried Child after delivering an unforgettable audition. After a decade in military service, Brian sold his car for acting lessons and moved to Los Angeles, marking a pivotal shift in his life. Notably, he celebrated the release of Boondock Saints 2 on October 30, 2009, coinciding with the twentieth anniversary of his arrival in L.A.
