Desy Ratnasari is a multifaceted Indonesian talent renowned for her work as an actress, model, singer, television host, and politician. She entered the entertainment industry at a young age, winning second place in the GIRL Cover contest at just 14 years old, surpassing fellow artist Bella Saphira. This early success propelled her into a flourishing career in film and television.
Desy became a household name through her engaging performances in films and popular soap operas, such as “Olga Roda Roda,” “Blok M,” where she shared the screen with Didi Petet and Paramitha Rusady, and “Si Kabayan.” She also starred alongside child actors Joshua Suherman and Anjasmara in the film “Joshua Oh Joshua.” Her role in the soap opera “Not Ordinary Women” earned her the Best Supporting Actor award at the 1997 Indonesian Soap Festival, cementing her status as a leading figure in the soap opera genre throughout the 1990s.
