Adan Canto
Joseph Adan Canto, born on December 5, 1981, was a talented Mexican actor whose career spanned both film and television until his untimely death on January 8, 2024, at the age of 42 due to appendiceal cancer. Canto gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Sunspot in the 2014 blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past, which showcased his ability to embody complex characters in the superhero genre.
On the small screen, he made a mark as Paul Torres in the gripping Fox drama The Following, followed by his role as AJ Menendez in the 2015 ABC series Blood & Oil. Canto's versatility was further highlighted when he took on the role of Rodrigo Lara Bonilla in the critically acclaimed Netflix series Narcos, which depicted the tumultuous world of drug trafficking in Colombia. Perhaps most notably, he starred alongside Kiefer Sutherland as Aaron Shore in the political thriller Designated Survivor, earning him a devoted fan base.
