David J. Cork is a multifaceted actor, writer, singer, and filmmaker hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana. His early musical journey began with the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, where he had the remarkable opportunity to perform at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House. During his time at Broad Ripple High School, David discovered his passion for acting, leading him to participate in community theater productions.

He started his higher education at Clark Atlanta University but later transferred to the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he earned a BFA in Acting. Upon moving to New York City, David quickly established himself in the entertainment industry, appearing in a variety of commercials, theater productions, television shows, and films. He became a trailblazer for actors creating their own content with his debut project, Bi: The Webseries, in which he starred and which garnered attention from outlets like The Huffington Post, NBC OUT, and Now This.

David’s impressive credits include roles in Gun Hill (BET), Mapplethorpe (HULU), The Breeding (HBO NYLFF 2018), Wu-Tang: An American Saga (HULU), and City on a Hill (SHOWTIME). A member of ABC’s Discover Showcase in 2019, he is dedicated to exploring the narratives of Black men and people of color through his work. Currently, he is in post-production on No Homo | No Hetero, a documentary focused on the experiences of sexually fluid Black men, while also actively engaging in HIV/AIDS activism to foster community and promote positivity within the Black community. Through his artistry and advocacy, David seeks to connect humanity through the power of vulnerability.
