Paul Greengrass
Paul Greengrass CBE, born on August 13, 1955, is a distinguished English film director, producer, screenwriter, and former journalist. Renowned for his gripping storytelling and adeptness in crafting intense narratives, Greengrass first gained international acclaim with his film *Bloody Sunday* (2002), which captured the Golden Bear at the 52nd Berlin International Film Festival.
His career further flourished with his direction of three films in the popular *Bourne* franchise: *The Bourne Supremacy* (2004), *The Bourne Ultimatum* (2007), and *Jason Bourne* (2016). Greengrass also directed the critically acclaimed *United 93* (2006), earning him a BAFTA Award for Best Director and an Academy Award nomination in the same category. Other notable works include *Green Zone* (2010) and *Captain Phillips* (2013), the latter of which showcased his ability to blend action with poignant human drama.
In addition to his filmmaking, Greengrass co-wrote and produced *Omagh* (2004), which won the British Academy Television Awards' Single Drama award.
