Vijayakumar is a prominent Indian actor and politician, renowned for his contributions to Tamil cinema. His acting journey began in 1961 when he made his debut as a child artist in the film *Sri Valli*. However, it was during the 1970s that he truly captured the public's attention. He transitioned to leading roles with the 1974 film *Aval Oru Thodar Kathai*, followed by notable performances in *Madhurageetham* (1977) and *Azhage Unnai Aarathikkiren* (1979).
