László feLugossy, also known as Kármen Batu, was born on June 25, 1947, in Kecskemét, Hungary. He is a multifaceted artist renowned for his contributions as a painter, performer, actor, director, writer, screenwriter, and singer. His impressive career has been highlighted by receiving the prestigious Munkácsy Award. A self-taught creator, feLugossy has delved into various artistic disciplines, including fine arts, music, literature, and film.

After completing high school, he pursued photography, which led him to work as both a studio and printing photographer. In 1972, he co-founded the Vajda Lajos Studio in Szentendre, marking a significant step in his artistic journey. Between 1979 and 1986, he gained recognition as the singer and lyricist for the avant-garde band AE Bizottság, and in 1983, he established the Inkaszámtan occasional company. His involvement with the Arts Fund began in 1982, followed by his membership in the Hungarian Association of Fine and Applied Artists from 1989 onward.

From 1986 to 1992, he collaborated with the Új Modern Akrobatika performance group. Influenced by the renowned painter Menyhért Tóth during his time in Kecskemét, feLugossy has showcased his artwork since 1968, with notable public installations like the Cheerful Totem in Szentendre. In 1997, he relocated to Sárospatak and continues to thrive in the arts. He is happily married to Gertrud Almási.
