Donna Rusch
Donna Rusch Beisel is a talented American actress whose career spans various facets of the entertainment industry. Before achieving stardom, she shared the screen with Matthew McConaughey in a training film for Exxon Aviation. Rusch earned her Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV/Film from the University of Houston, after which she began her career as a part-time Desk Assistant at KTRH-740 AM, the nation’s leading All-News Radio Station. Her talent quickly propelled her into the role of Reporter, where she garnered several accolades, including the "Best News Series in Texas" award from UPI.
Rusch later moved to Beaumont, Texas, where she made history as the first female solo 10 o'clock weeknight News Anchor. However, her passion for acting ultimately drew her back to Houston, where she signed with renowned talent agent Jenny Bosby at the Pastorini-Bosby Talent Agency. Her first national commercial audition resulted in a role for Texaco Express Lube, marking the beginning of a 17-year career focused on commercials, voiceovers, and industrial films for major clients like ExxonMobil and Chevron.
In 1995, she became the host of "Texas Today," a morning show featuring a variety of guests. Rusch made her TV movie debut in Tim Matheson's "Mortelle Invasion" (2000) and later became known as "Renee Rusch," a traffic reporter on various radio stations. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2011, she starred in the acclaimed film "Home from War" (2012), which was showcased at Cannes 2013, and appeared in the thriller "The Channel" (2015), along with guest roles in "Criminal Minds" and "Revenge."
